I bring a warm, collaborative approach to therapy, grounded in a strengths-based perspective and informed by evidence-based practices. I specialize in supporting individuals navigating life transitions, chronic or terminal illness, grief and bereavement, and challenges in communication and relationships. My goal is to create a safe, supportive space where clients feel seen and empowered to move toward healing, clarity, and meaningful change.
Arri Wynn, LMSW, is a dedicated behavioral health social worker with a passion for supporting individuals and families through life’s most challenging transitions. With a strong background in counseling, resource navigation, and care planning, Arri combines clinical expertise with genuine compassion to empower clients in achieving meaningful goals.
I believe that every person has the innate ability, strength, and resilience to overcome life’s challenges. Whether you’re facing difficult emotions, unhelpful thoughts or behaviors, major life transitions, or the everyday pressures of life, I encourage you to reach out. I offer a holistic approach that considers all aspects of wellbeing: emotional, mental, physical, and spiritual. I am committed to providing a compassionate, nonjudgmental space where you are free to be yourself, flaws and all.
Together, we’ll work to identify your goals, build on your strengths, and move toward a greater sense of ease and fulfillment. Our stories are not fixed, and through this lens, we can create a new narrative that empowers you to move forward with purpose and clarity. I am here to listen, share practical tools, offer insights, and gently support you in making meaningful, lasting change.
Making the decision to start therapy is an act of courage and self-care, and I commend you for taking the first step. I believe that everyone deserves a safe space to explore their thoughts, feelings, and relationships. We all want to feel seen and heard, and it is my goal to facilitate a place where you feel comfortable connecting with yourself and pursuing areas of potential growth. I believe that we are experts in our own life, and that we all have the capacity for self-awareness and growth. I aim to blend a variety of therapeutic modalities to best suit your needs and goals, whether short- or long-term. Therapy can be challenging, but we will navigate the journey together.
I hold a Bachelor of Arts degree from Emory University and Master of Social Work degree from Georgia State University. My background includes work with older adult populations and individuals experiencing major transitions, family conflict, hospice/palliative care, and grief. I value and recognize the role that intersectionality can play in affecting each individual’s experience. I stand with people of color, members of the LGBTQIA+ community, and other groups that have historically been marginalized. Some may describe me as empathetic, discerning, curious, direct, and genuine.
Approaches I find helpful include:
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy
Existential Therapy
Acceptance and Commitment Therapy
Family Systems
Feminism
Gestalt/Humanism
Strength-Based
Trauma-Informed
In my free time, I love to sing with my husband, do home improvement projects, and cuddle with my two cats, Mulan and Dumpling.
I primarily provide services to clients going through major life changes. I recognize that feelings of loss can permeate our lives and the need to process loss to move forward in life. These losses are not always the traditional loss of another human; instead, they span across multiple domains of life functioning such as marriage, a job, or loss of sense of purpose and meaning in life in life. Processing loss can be difficult, but my goal is to create a space where you are able to unabashedly do so without fear or judgment. Additionally, I am part of the GSCSW Low Cost Supervision program.
I believe in identifying a clients needs and then looking inward at the patient to identify strengths which can help overcome difficult tasks and uncomfortable settings. I approach all patients with unconditional positive regard with a humanistic perspective.
I have belief in our ability to adapt more positively to situations which currently cause pain through building a strong relationship with a therapist, being treated with unconditional positive regard, and to explore emotions openly. I offer free 15-minute consultations. I look forward to working with you.
My clinical interests include: life transitions, chronic and terminal illness, grief (including disenfranchised grief) and loss, advance care planning, geriatric psychotherapy, capacity building, advocacy, healthcare policy, and high-conflict relationships. My theoretical frameworks include: REBT, EFT, SFT, Gestalt, and existential psychotherapy.
